About Me

I am Qian Taowen, a Bachelor of Science student majoring in Mathematics and Artificial Intelligence at the University of Toronto, with an expected graduation in June 2026. My academic and research interests lie at the intersection of computer vision, applied mathematics, and AI-driven content creation, including 3D reconstruction, generative models, and the optimization of large language models.

Research Interests

  • Computer Vision: Image processing, 3D reconstruction, and generative models.
  • Applied Mathematics: Algorithm design, optimization, and mathematical modeling.
  • Computer Graphics: 3D modeling, rendering pipelines, and AI-driven content creation.

Recent Highlights

  • Thesis Towards Efficient LLMs: Analyzing Computational Bottlenecks and Optimization Strategies accepted by the 2025 3rd International Conference on Artificial Intelligence, Database and Machine Learning (AIDML 2025).
  • Completed a computer graphics research project with USC Viterbi School of Engineering under the advisory of Prof. Saty (DreamWorks Animation), working with Blender, Maya, RenderMan, and THREE.js.
  • Contributing as a gameplay programmer on Salt, Grooves, and Garlic, an action-rhythm game built in Unity.
  • Summer 2025 intern at CNPower, where I deployed a NAS system, built a GPT-powered QQ chatbot, and prototyped small-scale Unity games.
